More for Less Seminar a Success
Clients, potential clients and industry experts from a broad spectrum of business sectors joined Viv Miles and Colin Williams from Wescott Williams for the consultancy's inaugural seminar, held at the British Library in London during October.
Attendees were invited to explore how organisations can achieve ‘More for Less' as training and development budgets continue to be squeezed.
Feedback has demonstrated the session was well received and the consultancy is now planning its second event for early 2010.
Jonathan Winter, Career Innovation, said: "Thank you for inviting me to your first forum. I thought it was a stimulating discussion, well facilitated with a light touch, and a good bunch of people."
Case study
Our ongoing development programme for medical professionals in India, Nepal, Tanzania, Egypt and Guatemala is helping dramatically increase the number of life-changing eye surgeries in some of the world's poorest countries.
We developed a sales programme to improve membership recruitment that resulted in sustained and substantial increases in strike rates (visitors to English Heritage sites being converted into members), with membership now accounting for more than £18 million (2010/11 year to date) as opposed to just over £12 million in 2005/06 when Wescott Williams first started working with this client.
We improved managers' coaching skills through a Coaching for Performance programme which was implemented across the organisation's retail division (a department of 1,000 people).
